Sébastien Vaillancourt is a Basel-based composer and performer exploring the space between acoustic and electronic sound. His music moves from dense sonic masses to dreamlike textures, shaped by microtonality, noise, and minimalism. Integrating live electronics, custom interfaces, and programming, he emphasizes dialogue between performer and machine, structure and spontaneity. With studies in Montréal, Berlin, Vienna, and Cracow, his work spans solo and chamber pieces, installations, and dance collaborations. He also performs widely and collaborates with leading contemporary and electronic artists.
